How can we rethink our relationship with art, and with the title of the self-ordained "artist"?
Soft Renders is a generative art series that explores the boundaries between traditional aesthetics and computational systems. Each piece is designed to drift slowly and continuously, mimicking the softness of analog media — such as oil washes or charcoal smudges — through digital code.
Built in TouchDesigner using real-time rendering, noise fields, and feedback systems, the project reimagines digital painting as an ambient, contemplative experience.
The work challenges the assumption that generative art must be fast or visually complex, proposing instead a quieter model of authorship — one that values presence over performance, and process over product.

Can digital art escape the pressure to impress — and simply be?
